These smaller Herkimer Diamond crystals measure about 3/4 inch to 7/8 inch long and 1/2 inch or more across. They are nice for crystal specimens but not what we would call A grade crystals.
They all have some rough areas where they separated from the matrix rock they were formed on and may have some minor termination roughness on one or both ends. They usually have some black specs in them which are fossilized plant life that were trapped in the crystal as it formed. Crystals like these are perfect for crystal layouts and for crystal collections.
